Leptin (in charge of regulating the weight of our body that tells the brain that the body does not need more food . Ghrelin is the hormone that causes hunger. Research conducted thus twelve male volunteers healthy 20 to 25 years who slept only four hours a night for two days was inconclusive. They experienced a 18% decrease in leptin and a 28% increase in ghrelin levels. So sleep little fat as a lack of sleep, hormones give clear signals to the brain that encourage eating more.

The volunteers showed a 24% increase in appetite and increased cravings for sweets such as candy and cookies, salty foods like chips and nuts, and starchy foods like bread and pasta. The desire for fruit , vegetables or dairy products increased much less. Therefore it was concluded that poor sleep fat and increases cravings for foods that unprofitable significantly increase the weight of people.

This study found that, even after considering factors such as depression, physical activity, alcohol consumption, people were more likely to gain weight from less sleep.
Like sleeping little fat diets and weight loss programs will be abolished, apart from fat and carbohydrates, engage in other activities such as watching movies late at night, go out partying, among others, should be avoided and should seek the best way to sleep.
